Dream｜2024 AI Imagery Art Exhibition

Preface： In the early 19th century, when the camera was invented, someone asked: If photos can be more realistic than paintings, then what is the purpose of painting? A hundred years later, OpenAI has opened Pandora's box, and we are once again trying to answer this age-old question: Artificial intelligence (AI) can be more real than a camera, so what does a photographer do? On the one hand, human beings have an almost infinite obsession with "reality"; on the other hand, we are suspended high in the sky of reality, slipping into the gaps of "imagination", expecting to encounter the incredible "unknown". In the mid-to-late 20th century, computer art swept galleries and museums around the world as an innovative medium. At that time, some critics believed that computers would never create themselves. In the 21st century, the emergence of artificial intelligence as a tool allows people and machines to share the subject of artistic creation. For the first time, everyone has equal access to choices at both ends of the spectrum. We are gazing at the same world, but the fragments taken from this world are different from each other. Our choices characterize ourselves. This AI imagery exhibition "Dream" invites enthusiasts and art creators from all walks of life to explore five categories: "Poetry and Distance", "Love", "Vision of Dancers", "Sports" and "Daily Life". The perspective is closely related to his own experience, presenting works with rich content and diverse forms to the audience. Perhaps, in the not-too-distant future, people will become accustomed to AI art, and today’s controversies about artificial intelligence in artistic creation will sound so old-fashioned then.
